The company announced the third generation of a 5G modem called the Snapdragon X60. It shows how hard Qualcomm is working to develop its technology.
Snapdragon X60 with Top 5 NM MainBand
Apple’s A14 SoC and Snapdragon 875 will undoubtedly use the technology this year, but the X60 will take full advantage here.
Speaking of benefits, the 5nm architecture will help solve two important problems with 5G modems.
First of all, there will be a better performance increase in terms of power consumption and another problem will help with heat. The 5nm architecture is expected to be much more efficient, which means better performance and longer battery life for your 5G phone.
Thanks to the Snapdragon X60, download speeds will have speeds of 7.5Gbps with 5Gbps and mmWave.
